Meet the Think Space - a place where tired travelers can be energised in five minutes via a unique blend of sensory stimulation.

Gilian Shrofer's latest creation will provide a unique experience for all of the senses. Colour, sound, smell and texture all work together to create a relaxing and invigorating place to recharge the body's batteries.

Once inside the energy-boosting pod, visitors are invited to get comfortable, relax, listen and absorb what is around them. Every element of the Think Space has a purpose and plays a role in stimulating the brain:

Colour

The dominant colour of red has been selected for its energy. Research links it to vitality and self-confidence, an ideal combination to get the mind in gear for the challenges that lie ahead.

Sound

Scientific studies on the brain have shown that works of Mozart, selected Baroque Music and even Tibetan Chants can charge its cortex. The Think Space's soundtrack is key to creating a highly-focused feeling of immersion that can allow clear logical thinking and act as a catalyst for fresh ideas.

Scents

The gentle smell of mint has been proven to not only stimulate the senses but also to relax the mind.

Form

Shrofer's belief is that, "…as smell is the one sense that goes straight to the subconscious mind, for me the experience of space does the same. Hence the corner-less shape of this room, that will be stimulating the mind in an unusual way.”

If you'd like to experience all this for yourself, Think Spaces will be appearing in Crowne Plaza hotels in Brussels, Hamburg, Jordan and London from late November until the end of February 2009.
